Disney Characters Bloom to Life @ Epcot

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:45 PM by inspirationsbysd

Hi all, I’m back! But not for long, I recently spent spring break at Orlando Florida with my cousin/best friend and of course we visited all the theme parks there. I don’t think I will be blogging as much these days since the semester is ending sooooooon!! Yaaay! So I need to focus on that, but meanwhile I am just going to share with you some of the pictures I took at Epcot center for their Flower and Garden Festival. I love traveling in spring, the weather is perfect, flowers and blooming and surprisingly enough the lines at the rides were not as horrible as they are during the summer time!

Enjoy the pics :D

Floral Impressions

Posted in Wedding dress at 1:00 AM by inspirationsbysd

Anyone who knows me would know how much I love it when flowers are included in everything from fashion to food I, food II and beyond! hehe so of course I had a jaw dropping experience when I first laid my eyes on Monique Lhuillier’s dresses from the bridal and ready-to-wear collections for Spring 2011. Lhuillier, who is well-known for her lace bridal gowns has added beautiful printed fabrics into her Spring 2011 collections, from blooming floral prints to rich and luxurious fabrics. I notice the trend is heading towards opulence and luxury much like the trend in the 1980′s but hopefully a bit more polished and refined for the 2011 women.

Here are my picks :)

Madame Sucre

Madame Sucre, a small business in Kuwait with a vintage flair to it, have added new photos to their FB group. I noticed the new pictures after reading ilSul6ana’s post on them. I have always admired their look and theme, now I have never tried their dessert but based on looks only it looks finger-licking-good, I just wanted to post the new pictures because they look so pretty and oh so vintage chic, don’t you think?

Shopbop Wedding Boutique

Posted in Wedding dress at 12:54 AM by inspirationsbysd

I have been visiting and shopping at shopbop and asos for years now and what I love about both sites is that they offer a wide range of brands, offer inexpensive trendy items and especially asos when they first started out, I remember it was dedicated mainly for as seen on the stars looks, I love how much the website has evolved since then! So shopbop just recently added a new boutique to their website, which is the wedding boutique. What do I think about it? I looked through it, I couldn’t find that many items that I personally like, but the plus side is that most are inexpensive and on trend. I am sure they will expand their collection later, they just added this section like a few days ago? So I’m sure it will evolve and grow along with the rest of the site.

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams

Posted in Uncategorized at 2:10 PM by inspirationsbysd

I have been in Ohio for almost one year and a half now, and I just found out about this place from deQor8! Hehe and I couldn’t wait for Spring to arrive to try it out, thankfully the weather has been amazing lately (been raining cats and dogs but that’s Ohio, that’s as good as it could get here lol). What made me really want to try Jeni’s ice cream was the fact that they use natural ingredients grown and produced in Ohio from dairy, to all kinds of fruits, nuts etc. and also the interesting flavors they offer from Wildberry Lavender, Ylang Ylang Honeycomb, to Olive Oil with Sea Salted Pepitas…interesting, no?

So this is what I got: Bananas & Honey, Brambleberry Crisp, Riesling Poached Pear, Honey Butter Cake, and so far I tried the Bananas & Honey. First of all one of my favorite ice cream flavors is banana and most of the places I have had banana flavored ice creams  had artificial flavoring so it tastes like KDD’s luli? The triangle banana flavored ice cream, BUT this one, OH MY GOD!! It actually smells of fresh bananas and it tastes exactly like a banana milk shake (a childhood favorite drink). I have yet to try all the flavors I got, but I can tell that this ice cream is, dare I say, even better than the gelato I had in Rome, Capri and Spain…no comparison actually!

The Island of Crete, Greece

Posted in Uncategorized at 1:03 AM by inspirationsbysd

I have posted these pictures before, so if you are sick of looking at them please skip this post hehe but I just wanted to share them on my blog as well. It was my first time visiting Greece, we went there on our honeymoon, I love  Mediterranean countries, whether its Spain, Italy, Greece etc they actually have a lot of commonalities between them, first of all the FOOD is amazing in all countries on the Mediterranean sea, and their lifestyle is quiet similar too, love how outgoing and lively the people are.

Our experience in Greece, was as expected amazing, the people were very hospitable! Most of the time they actually thought we were Greek until we had to tell them otherwise hehe but whichever restaurant you dine at, trust me you’ll meet the mother, the father, the brother in law…the whole familia works there and they really make you feel part of the family! We found ourselves laughing with the waiters and the people sitting at the table next to us, it was really nice.

As for the weather, PERFECT!! Oh my, the sun was sooo warm and you had a light breeze blowing in to cool you off, I couldn’t get enough of the piña colada’s and ice-cold water with slices of lemon *sigh* I miss it, and I hope we get to go  back to the Mediterranean this summer.

In Crete, Greece, we stayed at Domes of Elounda, the hotel itself really added to the experience. Very secluded, the staff were so friendly and made sure we were enjoying our time (they knew that Crete was our first honeymoon destination and made sure it was memorable). I actually got sick the FIRST night we arrived, really sick that my husband had to call a doctor (food poisoning or a bug, not sure but it was not pretty :P ), and the hotel staff were horrified that I actually got sick on our honeymoon, they catered to our every need and we loved it! hehe

Here are some pictures of Crete, Greece :)

You will notice I love the Bougainvillea tree hehe you can pretty much find it everywhere in the Mediterranean but I still stop to take picture of it!
